MAC Makeup Brush Set Review

Hi, girls! Few moments ago I won Rini Cesillia ft. Etude Recipe's giveaway and this brush is one of the prizes. I got this when I needed a brush set. That's why I was super excited.

For makeup lover, newbies or experts as well definitely need makeup brushes. My friends commented, "Why did you buy a brush set? For what?". Sometimes they asked, "I think you should buy brushes that you need only". And the worst comment is, "Why should you need brush? I don't need that". Well, makeup brushes are like magic stuff for me. A nice makeup needs nice applicators to be applied. Compared to fingers, makeup brushes do better. One day you will realize the function of a brush set. Each brush type must be used because they have their own function in makeup application.

It’s super duper gorgeous. It comes with the tube case which the brushes can be placed on. The tube has keys button to keep each parts stick. The plus point of this tube case is easy to put the brushes on it, not like a wallet case. And it can stand, so the brushes can be put on each part. I got in rose color. The other giveaway winner got a cyan color. Honestly, I prefer in cyan. But rose color is not bad. The case color matches with the brushes color. It has a neat stitching and looks professional. It contains 12 brushes with different functions. There are numbers on the stick. But sadly they don't have brush names so I guessed the functions based on their appropriate shapes.

   134 - Powder Brush    

It is used to apply the powder with sheer coverage. It is best for glowy makeup lovers who only need powder to make the foundation, bb cream or concealer set. This brush can be used for applying blusher too. It has large dimension and thick bristles, so it can reach the face area nicely. It comes with a plastic cap to keep the bristles in a good condition. Unfortunately, the bristles of this powder brush already fell out when I received this brush. I tried to pull the bristles and it still fell out. It is very thick, I can tolerate the fallen bristles.

   168 - Angle Brush   

It is for shading because the shape is suited with hand degree when applying bronzer. It can be used as blush brush too.

   187 - Airbrush Foundation Brush   

For applying foundation with airbrush effect to create a flawless skin. It gives matte result. This brush comes with a plastic cap like powder brush.

   190 - Foundation Brush   

For applying foundation too, but it gives a glowy result.

   209 -  Pencil Brush   

It used for detail area. I used to apply silver eyeshadow on the point of my eyes to brighten them

   212 - Flat Eyeliner Brush   

I used this to line my bottom liner. I think this brush is a bit thicker to be used for eyeliner, so it can't create a thin line

   214 - Large Eyeshadow Brush   

For applying eyeshadow. I love to use this brush because it can apply eyeshadow in large area and save my time

   219 - Blending Brush   

Use for blending everything. Especially for creating the smokey eyes.

231 - Concealer Brush

For applying concealer. The bristles dimension is too small, about 3 mm. It more useful for covering dark spots or acnes than dark circles.

   266 - Angled Eyeliner Brush   

Use for apply eyeliner. It has a thick bristle as flat eyeliner brush. I put eyeshadow on my eyeliner with this brush to make it long lasting

275 - Angled Eyeshadow Brush

I used to apply nose shading and outer V for creating smokey eyes

   316 - Lips Brush   

It has a metal cap. Very hygienic and travel-friendly. It's a bit long but handy. It is more comfortable to use than mini lip brush.

- Made of synthetic bristles. I have an allergy with animal bristles.

- Powder and foundation brushes come with plastic cap

- Has a handy size

- Neat packaging

- Has no brush name.

- The powder brush bristles keep falls out. 

- The eyeliner brushes are too thick. It can't create a thin line.

Overall, I recommend this brush set especially for beginners who searching for a complete Makeup brush set with affordable price. For the professionals, I suggest you to get the better brush set. But I think it's okay if you want to try this.
