SILKYGIRL Eye Opener Waterproof Mascara 01 Black Review

Hi, my readers. Still talking about my Haul February 2015 post, I got a request to make a review of SILKYGIRL Eye Opener Mascara 01 Black. I put this product on my wish list since a long time ago. My lashes are thick and short. I was curious about the lengthening mascara and searching for an inexpensive one. Fortunately, I found this. It claims that can lengthen and thicken lashes.

It has sleek packaging, lightweight, has black and fuchsia color. I love black and fuchsia! The applicator is long, flexible and has a kind of brush that can lengthen and thicken lashes. Different brush types have different effects as well. 

Oops!! I accidentally broke the lid when I tried to open it!! Luckily, the lid can be repaired. But now the lid always be dislodged when I tried to open the mascara. I wonder, why did I often damage many things? Are my hands too strong or am I too careless? LOL

This product has 1 color in black. The texture and scent are as same as the other mascaras.

- Has a lengthening and thickening effect

- Travel-friendly

- Easy to remove

- Smudge proof

- Needs a long time to dry

- Not waterproof

- Tricky to wear

This product has lengthened and thickened effects, but does not waterproof as it claimed. I think it is tricky to wear too. It makes your lashes clump if you coat them too much. 2 coats are enough for me. It needs a long time to dry, so I always do my eye makeup first. Although it is not waterproof, the good thing is it quite smudge proof. I do not recommend this mascara to wear on lower lashes because it will ruin your makeup. 

Considering the price, I think this product is not bad. Although I can not say it is a perfect mascara for me. If you can bear to wait until it dries, go for it. But personally, I prefer the quick-drying and waterproof mascaras.
